Frequently Asked Questions

We know choosing care for your dog is an important decision. Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions to help you determine if FurryFriends4Life is the right fit for you and your dog.

What makes FurryFriends4Life different from traditional daycare or boarding facilities?

We are a home-based dog retreat, not a kennel or high-volume facility. Our environment is calm, structured, and intentionally limited in size. Dogs receive individualized attention, consistent routines, and professional oversight in a setting designed to reduce stress and overstimulation.

We focus on quality of care, not quantity of dogs.

What size dogs do you accept?

We are small dog–focused, as our environment is designed to support calmer play styles and lower stress levels.

We selectively accept medium-sized dogs based on temperament, energy level, and overall fit with our group.

All dogs are evaluated individually during the meet-and-greet process.

How many dogs are in your care at one time?

Capacity is intentionally limited to maintain a calm and safe environment.

-
Daycare is capped at approximately 12–13 dogs
-
Boarding is limited to no more than 5 dogs overnight
These limits allow us to provide individualized care and maintain the atmosphere our clients value.
Do you require a meet-and-greet?

Yes. All new clients are required to complete a meet-and-greet prior to acceptance.

This allows us to:

-
Ensure your dog is comfortable in our environment
-
Assess temperament and group fit
-
Review care needs, routines, and expectations
We believe this step is essential to the safety and success of every dog in our care.
What vaccinations are required?

For the health and safety of all dogs, we require proof of the following vaccinations:

-
Rabies
-
Distemper (DHPP)
-
Bordetella
Dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered, with documentation provided.

We also require a copy of the current town dog license for boarding and daycare services.

Do you provide medical or medication support?

Yes. We have a veterinary technician on staff, allowing us to support dogs with ongoing medical routines.

Medication and insulin support is available when needed and is considered specialized care, which may involve an additional fee depending on the level and frequency of support required.
All medical needs are reviewed during the meet-and-greet to ensure we can safely and appropriately meet your dog’s needs.

Is medical care included in your standard rates?

Basic supervision is included as part of our professional care model.
Specialized medical or medication support is not included in base daycare or boarding rates and is discussed separately based on individual care requirements.

How do pricing and rates work?

Because every dog’s needs are different, pricing is discussed during the meet-and-greet. Rates are based on:

-
Type of service
-
Frequency and duration
-
Care requirements, including medical support if applicable
-
Holiday rates / Peak time rates
This approach ensures transparency and allows us to tailor care appropriately.

Do you offer spa services?

Yes. We offer dog spa services as an optional add-on, including:

-
Bathing
-
Nail trimming
-
Ear cleaning
-
Teeth brushing
All spa services are provided calmly and patiently in a low-stress environment.

Do you offer dog walks and in-home pet visits?

Yes. We provide:

-
Dog walks within a limited service radius to ensure consistency and reliability
-
In-home pet visits, including cat care, for families who prefer their pets remain at home
Availability may vary based on location and scheduling.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed, insured, and bonded, and operate in compliance with local and state requirements.

Do you have availability?

Availability is limited by design. At times, a waitlist may apply, especially for boarding services. We recommend reaching out early if you’re planning upcoming care.

How do I get started?

The first step is to request a meet-and-greet. This allows us to determine if our environment is the right fit for your dog and to discuss care details moving forward.
